Physician Groups Voice Concern

Working in collaboration with other physician associations, the OOA sent a letter to all members of the Ohio Senate to oppose an amendment requiring health insuring corporations to directly contract with APNs as primary care providers. 

The correspondence, signed by the presidents of the OOA, Ohio ACOFP, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and American College of OB/GYN-Ohio Section, outlined several reasons why this classification and mandate are inappropriate.
