Updated in 2018, the revised CO*RE curriculum presents safe opioid prescribing in the larger context of pain. The new curriculum includes coverage of Immediate Release (IR) opioids, reference to the CDC Guidelines, updated statistics, and revised case studies.

Course assessment also meets grant requirements for the ER/LA Opioid Analgesics REMS education issued by the US Food & Drug Administration.
 
Light dinner will be provided for on-site attendees at the LMU-DCOM campus

Pain Management and Opioids: Balancing Risks and Benefits meets the State of Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners and Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination continuing medical education requirement of two hours every two years of controlled substance prescribing to include Tennessee Chronic Pain Guidelines.
