New Health Director Named

(photo)Governor-elect Ted Strickland nominated Alvin Jackson, MD, of Fremont, as the new director at the Ohio Department of Health. Jackson, who currently serves as medical director at Fremont Community Health Services, is scheduled to start on April 1.

Ann Harnish will serve as acting director. J. Nick Baird, MD, resigned from the position effective January 5.
