Young Physicians Give Back

Community Service Project Underway

In September of 2006 the Young Physician Committee of The Cleveland Academy of Osteopathic Medicine (CAOM) decided, as an ongoing project, to give back to the community. They chose LifeBanc Organ Donation and Education for their community project. CAOM is a proud spojnsor of the LifeBanc Gift of Life Walk that will behld at Edgewater Park in Cleveland on Saturday, August 25, 2007. This event will raise awareness for organ and tissue donors. YOUR particpation is needed to make this event a success.

The Academy is putting together a team to participate in the walk, as well as a booth to provide blood pressure checks, organ donation education and registration, as well as providing education to the community about osteopathic medicine. Our goal is to make team D.O.N.A.T.E. (Doctors of Osteopathy Support National Anatomic & Tissue Donor Education) the largest team at the walk. Please join us in making this goal a reality! All are welcome to join. You do not have to be a doctor or a student to participate. Please ask friends, family, co-workers and anyone else you can think of.

If you cannot participate in the walk, please consider the donation of registration dues for a student, intern, or resident. LifeBanc will also accept your gift in the form of a check or credit card payment. You can give online at www.blacktie-cleveland.com/profiles

Attached you will find an information packet which includes a registration form and a form entitle "Will You Be There" which will allow us to denote your participation in this event. Please make copies to hand out to anyone you can think of. The Academy is collecting registration forms for team D.O.N.A.T.E. and will submit them all together to LifeBanc. Please complete the registration form and the "Will You Be There" form and remit to:
