Act Now to Get A Medicare Quality Reporting Bonus
2010 is the last opportunity to receive a 2% bonus incentive under CMS's Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). After 2010 the incentive reduces to 1%. So act now, to receive the maximum benefit from the program.
If you are an AOA member, there is a no risk fee for participating in the Clinical Assessment Program (CAP), which has been approved by CMS as a PQRI reporting registry. If you do not receive a bonus incentive from CMS, you will receive your $199 back. You just need to provide us with your feedback report from CMS stating that you did not receive an incentive.
Only four percent of participants who used a registry did not receive an incentive in 2008. You only need to have billed Medicare $20,000 in 2010 to make a profit equal to the cost to participate in the program ($20,000 X .02= $400).
In 2008, CAP participants received bonus payments that ranged from $1300 to $3000. It only takes a few short hours to complete the process. Easy to use data abstraction Patient Visit Form and turn-key web-based system. Prompt response from program manager for assistance with questions related to the program.
