ODH Updates Allowable Charges for Medical Records

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) has published the 2011 maximum allowable fee schedule that Ohio health care providers can charge for copies of medical records. 

The ODH schedule, by state law, is tied to changes in the Consumer Price Index.  A copy can be downloaded by clicking  here .  It is also posted on the ODH website under “Medical Record Fees.”  

Ohio law provides exceptions that allow certain entities and indiivduals to obtain one free copy of a medical record.  For more information see the "members only" section of this web site.
