Central Ohio DOs Attend January and February Meetings

Nearly 40 DOs, osteopathic medical students, and their guests attended the Post-Jingle Mix & Mingle, held January 15, 2008, at The Gallery Art Center in Columbus.

Members enjoyed an evening of socializing with Central Ohio's osteopathic family, as well as beautiful fine art and collectibles from Ohio-based artists and delicious hors d'oeuvres.

Congratulations to door prize winners Irene Bell and Alex Tsai, OMS IV; many thanks to Suzanne Campbell for hosting the event at her gallery; and apologies to those who had difficulty finding the location (the registration flyers failed to note the Gallery Art Center is located in the TJ Maxx plaza on Reed Road).

In February, 25 physicians and students braved a winter snowstorm and icy roads to attend the Academy Family Visit, held at Graystone Wine Cellar, with OOA President William F. "Rusty" Emlich, Jr., DO, and OOA Executive Director Jon F. Wills. Emlich provided an update on recent activities and legislative and policy issues.

Jeffrey Freeman, DO, of Philadelphia lectured on Insulin Analog Choices: Different Options for Different Patients.
