OOA, Ohio ACOFP Seek Award Nominations

The Ohio Osteopathic Association is seeking nominations for its four awards that recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the osteopathic profession.  Recognition is given because of exceptional contributions to the understanding of osteopathic medicine, research, financial aid to education, or other areas that enable professionals to make an impact on the public health.

The awards include Distinguished Service Award, the OOA's highest honor; Meritorious Service Award; Trustees Award; and M. Bridget Wagner, DO, Humanitarian Award.  A list of previous winners in each category, award descriptions, and nominating procedure are available under "About - Awards."

Deadline for nominations is February 28, 2010.

The Ohio ACOFP is also seeking nominations for Family Physician of the Year; Distinguished Service; and Young Family Physician of the Year.  The honors will be presented at the Family Medicine Day luncheon, Thursday, April 29, at the Ohio Osteopathic Symposium.
