2025 OH DO Day - October 25th
The Ohio Osteopathic Association Leads the Way
Thank you to the DOs and students who joined us on October 28 in Columbus for the 2025 Ohio DO Day and for the legislative advocacy they engaged in to elevate the osteopathic voice at the Ohio Statehouse.
Participants attended a hearing of the Senate Health Committee, where OOA leaders presented on the state of osteopathic medicine in Ohio and answered lawmakers' questions. After a tour of the governor's ceremonial office, our advocates had lunch with Senator Terry Johnson, DO. The afternoon was filled with meetings with lawmakers. The group was divided into regions to target their conversations to the representatives and senators who serve them.
In their meetings with lawmakers, participants talked about:

- OOA Supports End the Practice of Non-Medical Switching: SB 160
- OOA Supports Protecting Patient Access by Reforming Non-Compete Agreements: SB 301
- OOA Opposes Changes to Physician-Led Team-Based Model: HB 353
