National Advocacy Award Honors Ohio Osteopathic Physicians
AOA names OOA as award winner
We are proud to share that the Ohio Osteopathic Association has been selected by the American Osteopathic Association as the recipient of the 2026 Organizational Excellence in Advocacy Award.
This national recognition reflects OOA’s sustained commitment to public policy and professional advocacy, including the significant time and financial resources invested to ensure the osteopathic profession's concerns are heard by policymakers.
"I am thrilled the AOA has recognized the focus, work, and investment your association dedicated to advocacy this year," said OOA President Edward Hosbach, DO. "As members please continue to monitor, participate in, and support this valuable benefit."
We gratefully acknowledge the physicians, residents, and students who devote their personal time to advocate on behalf of all osteopathic professionals—whether or not they are OOA members. We also extend our sincere thanks to Danny Hurley, OOA Lobbyist with BarnesThornburg, whose expert guidance was instrumental in securing a hearing with the Ohio Senate Health Committee.
The OOA will receive the 2026 Organizational Excellence in Advocacy Award during the AOA DO Day Awards Dinner on Wednesday, March 25th in Arlington, VA. To register for the AOA DO Day, please click here.
This achievement belongs to our entire osteopathic community. Thank you for your continued support and engagement.
