SMBO Finalizes Variety of Rules

The State Medical Board of Ohio has finalized rules that will be effective Jan. 31. They have been filed with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review as the final step in the rulemaking process.

The batch of rules pertain to criminal records checks, controlled substance prescribing, pain management clinics, military provisions, and respiratory care professionals. They underwent a several month process for public comment and are now filed in their final form.
